As we enter the final quarter of 2024, we are pleased to announce our continued business growth with the addition of four new members to our team.

Two new apprentices

We are thrilled to welcome Polly and Mia, our two new Business Support apprentices. As part of our commitment to fostering growth, they will not only contribute fresh perspectives to our company but will also benefit from our investment in their professional development.

Polly has a solid foundation in both graphic design and business studies, gained during her time in secondary education. With a keen interest in social media, she has taken an active role in managing The BidBase’s online presence. Polly oversees our LinkedIn, X and Facebook pages, contributing to the growth and engagement for The BidBase.

Mia has a keen interest in graphic design, website development, and business administration, and brings a diverse set of skills to our team. She will be playing a key role in supporting our social media efforts with Polly, contributing to creative projects, and managing various administrative tasks. Her contributions will help us maintain and enhance the high level of service and support that our clients have come to expect.

Two new team members

During recent months we have also gained 2 new team members with specialised skills and long-standing experience in their respective fields. Steve and Jonathan have integrated with The BidBase team seamlessly and we look forward to their support in expanding our service reach.

Jonathan specialises in search engine optimisation, website maintenance and design. We recently worked alongside Jonathan during a large project involving the redesign of The BidBase website and strategic review of our services.

Steve provides expert knowledge on all aspects of quality submissions. He has been an asset to our team on numerous occasions, facilitating storyboarding and answer planning sessions, as well as writing technical responses either from scratch or in collaboration with subject matter experts.

Our integrated team

With the addition of our new team members, we can continue to deliver exceptional services to our clients from this close-knit and cohesive team. These fresh perspectives bring innovative and exclusive ideas to the table, allowing us to expand our capabilities and introduce new initiatives that elevate our business. By incorporating a diverse range of skills and decades of experience, we can use each other’s strengths and present a team potential way beyond the sum of its individuals.

The Link Between Branding and Evaluation Scores

Although branding alone does not win tenders, it can have a direct impact on how information is absorbed and interpreted.

Evaluators often review hundreds of pages of documentation. Well-structured and visually consistent proposals can make it easier to:

  • Identify key messages quickly
  • Understands technical solutions
  • Review evidence and case studies navigate complex responses
  • Retain important information

Good bid branding supports the reader rather than distracting from the content.

This is particularily important in public sector procurement, where clear communication helps ensure evaluators fullyunderstands the value being offered.

Common Branding Mistakes in UK Bid

Many organisations unknowingly weaken their submissions through avoidable branding errors.

Some of the most common issues include:

Generic Proposals Templates

Using outdated or poorly adapted templates can make a submission feel disconnected from the opportunity and the buyer’s requirements.

Inconsistent Messaging

Technical teams, operational staff, and external contributors may all write different sections. Without editorial oversight, the document can lose its unified  voice.

Weak Visual Design

Crowded pages, excessive text, poor graphics can make otherwise strong content difficult to engage with.

Lack  of Buyers Focus

Branding should support the client narrative. Too many bids focus exclusively on the company rather than aligning messaging with the buyer’s objectives.

How The BidBase Strengthens Bid Branding

Creating a professional and consistent submission requires more then simply applying a logo to the cover page.

At The BidBase, branding is integrated throughout the bid production process. Our specialist combine bid management, creative design, content development, and strategic messaging to ensure every submission reflects a clear and professional identity.

Our support includes:

  • Proofreading and quality assurance
  • Digital marketing alignment for wider brand consistency.

By branding together multiple work-winning disciplines, we help oprganisations create submissions that inspire confidence while remaining fully compliant with procurement requirements.

Practical Tips for Better Bid Branding UK

If you want to improve your next submission, consider the following:

  • Establish clear branding guidelines before writing begins.
  • Use a consistent tone of voice throughout the document.
  • Develop branded templates specifically for tender submissions.
  • Incorporate professional graphics and visual summaries.
  • Review every section for consistency before submission.
  • Ensure supporting documents align with the main proposal.

These steps can improve both presentation quality and evaluator experience.

Final Thoughts

Strong bid branding UK practices are not about making a proposal look attractive for sake of it. They are about reinforcing credibility, improving communication, and build trust with buyers.

When branding, messaging, design, and content all work together, tender submissions become more persuasive, easier to evaluate, and more likely to leave a positive impression.
